Personal Data Protection Law (LPPD) and our HR Policy

OUR HR POLICY ON PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION (EMPLOYEES & CANDIDATES)

Our HR Department is keen to protect and manage everyone’s personal data in accordance with Law 6698. We don’t plan anything or conduct any activity without consulting this law first.

Above doing everything legally to protect your privacy, we view all who work for and with us as human beings and treat with necessary respect.

This means we take all administrative and technical measures to protect and manage your personal data. To ensure that we do this effectively, we start by educating our employees and run all new employees through an adaptation process.


What constitutes personal data?

Full name, mailing address, e-mail address, Turkish ID Number, driver’s license, ID card, fingerprint, date and place of birth, medical records, blood type, phone number, country, city, district, zip/postal code, age, gender, criminal record, bank account information, CV/resume, education background, marital status, family details, emergency contact information, disability status, military service records

Why process/manage personal data?
We store, process, and delete all of our job candidates’ and employees personal data as necessary, for / in accordance with:

» Law enforcement and the Organized Industry Directorate (upon request)

Method of collecting personal data:
Our HR department collects your personal data (upon request) via all corporate forms (job application, procedure, training, work, AGI, HR, and otherwise) CVs, fingerprints, and PDKS records.


How to we store and protect your personal data?
» We store your personal data in accordance with Article 12 of the LPPD on a corporate database. We do not share your information with any third party beyond legal obligations and the regulations listed in this document.
» We take full responsibility for preventing your data from being unlawfully processed by any unauthorized party, in accordance with Article 12 of the LPPD. In doing this, we take digital and physical security measures, including access management.

How long do we store your personal data for?

» We store your personal data with as long as your labor agreement defines. In case you leave our company, we withhold the right to store your data for up to 15 years.

What are your rights according to Article 11 of the LPPD?
According to LPPD, you are entitled to:
 

a) Learn whether or not your personal data have been processed
b) Request information if in case your data been processed
c) Learn why it has been processed
d) Learn who your data has been shared with, be at home country or abroad
e) Have erroneous or missing data corrected or updated
f) Have your data made anonymous or deleted in accordance with Article 7 of the LPPD
g) Request to notify third parties about the information specified in paragraphs (d) and €
h) Object to any situation resulting in your personal information being analyzed by automated systems
i) Request compensation for any damage you have incurred due to your personal information being unlawfully processed


Where should I apply to learn about the status of my personal data?

To learn about the status of your personal data as an outline in this policy, you must fill out and sign a LPPD HR Application Form, and submit it either to our HR Department by e-mailing a scanned copy to:

How long does take to finalize my personal data application?
We respond to all requests within 30 business days.
