GAMAK has been awarded the "Authorized Economic Operator" (AEO) status
GAMAK has been awarded the "Authorized Economic Operator" (AEO) status, introduced by the Ministry of Commerce to enhance international trade and exports. It offers streamlined customs clearance to both importers and exporters. Thanks to the AEO status, GAMAK will continue to offer faster and more dependable services to its customers, in accordance with international standards.
As a result of the company-wide efforts and contributions from multiple departments, GAMAK fulfilled all the necessary requirements in January 2023 and became the first Turkish electric motor manufacturing company to be awarded the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) status.
The AEO status offers exporters a prestigious international status through mutual recognition agreements between countries. To attain the Authorized Economic Operator status, exporter companies must first have certifications for ISO 9001 Quality Management System and ISO 27001 Information Security Management System.
In addition to advantages such as time and cost savings in import and export processes, enhanced operational capabilities, increased competitiveness, improved brand value and reliability in international markets, companies with Authorized Economic Operator status also have the opportunity to benefit from privileges in countries with mutual recognition agreements
To be granted Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) status, companies must fulfill the following requirements:
• Prove compliance with customs regulations through past performance,
• Implement an organized and traceable record-keeping system,
• Demonstrate financial stability,
• Meet safety and security standards.
