About Us / History
Turkey's Leading Industrial Enterprise
Gamak was founded in 1961 to fulfill the needs of the Turkish industry for locally produced critical component, the “Electric Motor”. In a very short time we started the production of the first electric motor made in Turkey. We created an alternative that eliminated the problems caused by imported motors, like cost, spare parts sourcing. We gained a well-deserved reputation for our quality. With every passing day we continue to grow and develop.
During the half a century since, we’ve become one of the leading producers of electric motors, not just in Turkey but in the world as well. With our products ranging from 0.06 kW to 1000 kW, we have been able to meet the motor needs of almost every industry. We’ve produced almost every component required for the manufacture of Electric Motors within our own factory; we’ve combined the whole production process under one roof. We have become one of the few producers that can enamel their own wire; we’ve established one of the leading laboratories in Europe.
Today, in our 50,000 sqm plant within our 330,000 sqm area, we continue to empower the Turkish industry with our nearly 1000 work force.
